About UserX

Established in 2011 userXmetrics is a full service Augmented Reality agency with over 40 years’ experience in Australian & UK Advertising landscapes.

We cover all disciplines of media, creative & production and all client categories ranging from (and not limited to) FMCG, Automotive, Government and Entertainment. We have also carried out work on Augmented Reality apps for the Educational, Medical/Pharmaceutical and Gaming sectors.

From our extensive Communications and Creative Direction backgrounds, we know Brands and we know Consumers. And most importantly, we know the importance of executions that produce results!

What is Augmented Reality?

Through the use of a camera enabled smart phones and tablets, Augmented Reality is an environment where a real life element is enhanced by superimposing virtual elements (such as gaming, animation graphics, audio, etc) on top of it in real time, exceeding the bounds of physical reality.

Or more simply stated: AR uses a real life visual target to launch and interact with an “invented” virtual reality. The resulting mashup between real and virtual is typically created via an app that utilizes video, audio, 2D and 3-D graphics and animation, and gaming mechanic assets. AR occurs in real time through the use of camera enabled smart phones and tablets.

With its own in house Strategy Director, userX provides with every AR brief response an Augmented Reality strategy and role to reach and connect with your consumers, with over 25 combined years experience in Comms channel planning and consumer demographic segmentation expertise.


Creative Ideation

Utilising the 20+ years experience of our Creative Director, userX will provide detailed creative Ideation for the Augmented Reality activation. Working with our clients direct or agency partners to produce the AR idea in line with the brands and campaign values.



Utilising a combination of in house production facilities and production partners userX can facilitate all aspects of Augmented Reality production and activation. With best in class 3D animation, 3D filming & photography – combined with the worlds leading Augmented Reality platform Vuforia



Daily, weekly & monthly reports will be provided by userX to show Augmented Reality campaign Impacts, Reach and frequency numbers and also geo location data.

Unlike some of our competitors which only provide AR activation, userX works with its client partners to ensure the Augmented Reality strategy & creative idea not only works within the broader communication mix, but enhances it and on campaign completion, full data analytics provided for measurable results.
